Government of Mexico decrees 30-day national mourning in solidarity with victims of COVID-19

MEXICO CITY.- This Friday afternoon, the Government of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador declared a national mourning for 30 days, this in the face of the COVID-19 emergency.

Through the Official Gazette of the Federation (DOF), the Ministry of the Interior (Segob) decreed this in solidarity for the deaths of people with this virus and for the number of infections in the country.

During this period of mourning, the hoisting of the National Flag at half mast is agreed, from August 13 to September 11.

This action will go according to the tribute of the minute of silence by public servants, which will be daily at 12 noon.
