The Minister of Health, Enrique Ruiz Escudero, has insisted the Ministry of Salvador Illa in applying proofs of origin to travelers who transfer to the airport of Barajas and has revealed that Madrid has already detected 116 imported cases, which “do not stop growing”.

This was stated at the meeting of the Inter-territorial Council of the National Health System held on Tuesday, in which he reiterated the need to make “some kind of decision at source and always with a criterion of reciprocity.”

Regarding the evolution of the pandemic, Spain registered 1,178 new positives in the last 24 hours, according to the balance provided by the Ministry of Health this Tuesday. Aragon continues to be the autonomous community that reports the most infections per day: 365, followed by Madrid (292), Catalonia (109) and Andalusia (109).
