The nightmare returns Covid on a ship from cruise. An outbreak has developed on the flagship of the Norwegian company Hurtigruten, la Roald Amundsen.
Here 36 crew members – mostly Filipinos – tested positive for coronavirus, tests performed after 4 of them were hospitalized with suspicious symptoms.
“Already last Wednesday we told the ship to communicate to the passengers of the suspicious cases so that they could go into quarantine – says a manager of the Norwegian health department – I hope they have already warned them, there are points in the procedure that need to be improved”.
Now all the passengers have been disembarked in the Norwegian port of Tromso and 400 of them are entitled to quarantine, while the more than 120 negative crew members remain on the ship.
The company had been traveling for a month after the pandemic stop.
