Last Thursday, a driver in possession of 1 kg of hashish, evading a control, crashed into a police car and made dangerous overtaking. Finally arrested, he was imprisoned.
Thursday August 6, around 4:40 p.m., the cantonal police officers carried out a traffic control in Bulle, at the exit of the A12, at the roundabout of Battentin. At the stop signal given by a police officer, a motorist pretended to stop before accelerating and to flee by hitting a police vehicle.
Driving on the bypass road H189 towards Tour-de-Trême, he overtook vehicles by crossing the solid line several times. Followed by police cars with blue lights and a siren on, the driver suddenly headed towards the city center of Bulle. Suddenly, he lost control of his car and crashed into an island on Chemin des Crêts before coming to a permanent stop on the sidewalk.
1 kg de hashish
Arrested on the spot by the police, the 25-year-old driver living in Gruyère was taken to the police station where he was first placed under provisional arrest and subsequently imprisoned. The police found and sequestered 1 kg of hashish in the applicant’s car.
During this event, luckily no one was injured. The offender’s driver’s license was seized on the spot. His vehicle was taken care of by a service garage. An investigation was opened by the prosecution.
Road users, who would have been endangered by the fleeing driver behind the wheel of a black car, are asked to contact the Cantonal Police (026 304 17 17).
Policewoman injured in Bern
Almost identical scenario in the canton of Bern. A policewoman was injured in the leg by a motorist who evaded a check on the night from Sunday to Monday in Rubigen. The fugitive, who was traveling at excessive speed, was finally able to be stopped after his vehicle laterally struck a wall.
The 19-year-old motorist did not have a valid driving license, the Bern-Mittelland Regional Public Prosecutor’s Office and the Bernese Cantonal Police said on Monday. He will have to answer for violations of the law on road traffic (LCR).
