Switzerland has 130 new cases of coronavirus on Tuesday, according to figures from the Federal Office of Public Health (OFSP). An additional death is to be deplored, and six new hospitalizations are reported.
There are now a total of 1,706 deaths. Two deaths reported in error have been removed from the statistics, said the office, which on Monday indicated a total of 1,707 deaths. On Monday, Switzerland was back below the 100 cases mark (66).
Six people had to be hospitalized, bringing the total to 4,353 since the start of the pandemic. Over the last seven days, the total is 1032 infections, indicates the daily newsletter of the FOPH.
Switzerland now has 1,064 people in isolation and 2,930 among their contacts have been quarantined. There are 12,514 other people returning from their trip who also had to go through quarantine.
Since the start of the pandemic, 35,746 cases of Covid-19 contamination have been confirmed in the laboratory out of a total of 808,031 tests carried out.
1,22 million d’apps
On Tuesday, the number of active SwissCovid applications stood at 1.22 million, according to figures from the Federal Statistical Office. That is 10,000 more than on Sunday.
