Switzerland has around 100 new cases of coronavirus

Switzerland has 105 new cases of coronavirus on Monday, according to figures from the Federal Office of Public Health (OFSP). No additional deaths are to be deplored, but two new hospitalizations have been reported.

The death toll stands at 1,712. And 4,381 people have had to be hospitalized since the start of the pandemic.

Switzerland had 152 more cases on Sunday. It had previously fallen below the 100-case mark (66) at the start of last week. From Tuesday and for the rest of the week, this threshold was clearly crossed.

Over the last seven days, the total number of infections is 1,038, indicates the daily newsletter of the FOPH. Per 100,000 inhabitants, the incidence rate is 12.1. Since the start of the pandemic, 36,708 cases of Covid-19 contamination have been confirmed in the laboratory out of a total of 842,509 tests carried out.

Switzerland now has 1,301 people in isolation. 4071 individuals in their contacts have been quarantined. There are also 13,856 other people returning from a trip from a country at risk and who also had to go through quarantine.
