(ANSA) – ROME, AUGUST 20 – The Deputy Head of the Penitentiary Administration Department Roberto Tartaglia visited the Latina prison in the afternoon where he was welcomed by the director Nadia Fontana and the commander of the Department Pierluigi Rizzo. Tartaglia paused to speak with the staff of the Institute, deeply shaken by the recent and traumatic loss of two much loved and highly experienced colleagues. The staff also directly and informally represented the working conditions within the Institute. “We live in a moment in which to the consequences, even emotional ones, of the lockdown, are added the usual problems, to which we all try to devote the maximum effort every day – said Tartaglia at the end of his visit to the Latina prison – I consider it important , for this reason, to bring the proximity of the Administration to the staff of the institutions, especially those who, for various reasons, are most suffering. I very much appreciated the very strong sense of community transmitted today by the prison police staff serving in the Latina prison, even more so in this painful moment. And it is commendable that even on a day like this, there have been findings and indications that confirm his great competence and determination to overcome this difficult moment with his usual professionalism “(ANSA).
