The move of the Federal Shot At a new property, meters from the Río de la Plata, he took another step towards its realization. Through decree No. 282 published in recent days in the Official Gazette, the Government of Buenos Aires formalized the usufruct of these public lands by the entity. According to the resolution, the club will be able to use and obtain benefit from the fiscal area 75 years.

The decree allows the institution to develop its activity in the new City Shooting Sports Center Autonomous Government of Buenos Aires, which the Buenos Aires Government is building in 16 hectares distributed between the Public Children’s Park and the mouth of the Medrano stream, in Núñez.

In turn, he authorizes the marksmen’s club to install premises or grant their use, and obtain profits or derived fruits from those assets. According to the specifications of the decree, commercial activities must occupy a proportion no greater than 10% of the total area buildable and cannot be accessed from the public highway.

Would be bars, confectioneries, restaurants and kiosks; through businesses selling clothing and items for shooting activities or rental stores for chairs, umbrellas and towels. Shops with a hairdressing, barber, massage, pedicure, nursery or health services, such as first aid rooms or clinics, may also be set up.

null The authorization by the Buenos Aires Executive to the Federal Shot to make usufruct of this land, where it will be able to start operating once the works are completed, came after a process of almost two years, which included a great controversy. Although the decision had already been signed in mid-2019, the use permits are now being extended.

In October 2015, the Buenos Aires government announced its intention to set up a pole that would integrate coworking offices, laboratories, companies and institutions aimed at training in new technologies in a large public space, which they named Innovation Park. The idea was to put it together on the Federal Shot field, in front of the River field. The property was loaned since 1891, but the institution objected.

From Tiro Federal it was affirmed that its building was untouchable because in 2005 it had been named a Historical Monument, and it was denounced that the City was only pursuing a real estate business. That is why they threatened to go to court.

The ruling party explained at that time that the project contemplated leaving the historic building standing and using 12 of the 16 hectares, ensuring that 65% of the surface would remain for public use, between green spaces and streets. The place had been chosen for its proximity to Ciudad Universitaria, the ORT school and the Di Tella University.

Finally, and after a long negotiation with the club’s members, who were proposed to build – under the Executive’s charge – a new headquarters on land near the Río de la Plata and give it the usufruct of the new space for 75 years, progress was made. And in November 2018, the Legislature passed a law that enabled the auction of two properties adjacent to the original headquarters of the Federal Shot, in avenida Del Libertador and Udaondo.

In the auditorium of Banco Ciudad, the purchase was made. For a value of 151.5 million dollars, the Buenos Aires Landmark trust acquired these lands, one of the best valued on the Buenos Aires map and, in that operation, configured the most expensive purchase of public lands in the history of the City of Buenos Aires.

It is expected that in a short time other looks from the same land will be auctioned.
