Authorities of the State of Mexico searched a property in the Los Pirules neighborhood in Tlalnepantla and there they found 1,400 white sheets of security paper from the Directorate of Civil Registry of the Government of the State of Mexico, that had been stolen last April.
“This search warrant was requested by the Agent of the Public Ministry, after last August 5, Investigative Police (PDI) detained two people who were outside the offices of the Civil Registry in Tlalnepantla, apparently illegally selling 302 records of said Institution. These individuals were presented to the MP who integrated the respective investigation folder for the crime of concealment by reception, “said the Mexican Prosecutor’s Office, in a statement.
“As a result of this arrest, elements of this Institution carried out a field and cabinet investigation that allowed the identification of a property located in the Los Pirules neighborhood, where more of this official documentation could be found, which was stolen in April of this year, for that reason a search warrant was requested from a judge ”, he added.
In the aforementioned property, the Prosecutor’s Office detailed, 1,400 records of the Civil Registry were found and recovered, used for the preparation of birth, death and marriage certificates, among other procedures.
“The property was insured, while the investigations continue in order to assure, if it is the case, other people related to these events, “the Prosecutor’s Office concluded in its report.
