“The Queen is very protective of the Commonwealth”
Two days later, a source told Mirror : “The Queen is very protective of the Commonwealth. She wants her work to continue through the young members of her family after she leaves. this seems to be an outstretched hand from Harry and Meghan who, despite their popularity with some, have realized that they need the royal family more that the latter needs them.”
In a previous videoconference conversation for the same organization, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry had aroused controversy with some Britons with these Remarks on the colonial past of the Commonwealth : “We can’t move forward if we don’t recognize the past, Prince Harry said. So many people have done such a good job of acknowledging the past, and trying to right their wrongs, but I think we all know there is still a lot of work to be done. “
