Table against hunger

The Argentine Table Against Hunger, headed by the Chief of Cabinet, Santiago Cafiero, will meet again today to evaluate proposals that guarantee access to food production and a diet with nutritional quality for vulnerable sectors of the country, based on the impact of the pandemic on children, official sources reported.

Along with Cafiero, the president of the National Council for the Coordination of Social Policies, Victoria Tolosa Paz; the Minister of Social Development, Daniel Arroyo; and a dozen references from civil society.

nullIn dialogue with Télam, Tolosa Paz explained that today it will release a mapping carried out in Argentina that revealed that there are “79,000 children with low stature (ie, for example, they are 9 years old, but their physical characteristics are 4) in 232 municipalities “of the country.

That survey – Tolosa Paz indicated – was the result of an analysis of data provided by the country’s health centers, based on the care of children from 0 to 5 years old, for whom the Government works to “implement a comprehensive accompaniment“, which tomorrow will analyze the table.

“We have three objectives: to give a status report as of July 31; work on improving nutritional quality with the incorporation of milk, meat, fruits and vegetables; and promoting a strong development of food production as one of the keys to reactivating the economy from below, “explained Arroyo.
