Beijing, Sep 22 (EFE) .- The National Health Commission of China reported today 6 new cases of COVID-19 detected on Monday, all of them from abroad, with which the Asian country has already accumulated 37 days without registering contacts to local level.
These imported positives were diagnosed in foreign travelers in the cities of Shanghai (east, 1) and Tianjin (north, 1) and in the provinces of Guangzhou (south, 3) and Yunnan (southwest, 1).
As for the asymptomatic infected, China added 15 new positives in this latest report, all of them imported, which places the total number of people under observation in these circumstances at 391, of which all but one come from abroad.
Likewise, the health authorities detailed that, until last local midnight (16:00 GMT on Monday), 13 patients had been discharged, so the total number of active infected in mainland China stood at 166.
The National Health Commission did not announce new deaths from COVID-19, so the figure remained at 4,634, among the 85,297 infected officially diagnosed in China since the start of the pandemic.
To date, 827,716 close contacts with infected have been followed up, of which 6,653 are still under observation.
In the semi-autonomous region of Hong Kong, 5,038 positives have been registered so far, causing 103 deaths, and in Taiwan, 509 cases have been recorded, of which 7 have died.
