The actor with a thousand roles has died at the age of 89, his agent has announced.

Actor Michael Lonsdale, 89, of British father and French mother, died Monday afternoon at his home in Paris, his agent told AFP, confirming information from the weekly Nouvel Obs.

In sixty years of career, the actor with the very recognizable voice has embodied more than 200 roles in the cinema, in particular in a James Bond, in the theater or on television. He was also known in particular for his roles in “The name of the rose” or “Of men and gods”.
