While we thought that the merry-go-round had finally stopped turning towards the Astrid park, the organizational chart of the RSCA is about to welcome a new face in the person of Jos Donvil.
If Anderlecht currently refuses to make any comment, the information revealed on Wednesday by the sites of L’Echo and De Tijd is indeed exact: the former boss of BASE and VOO arrives at the Mauves to replace the operational director Jo Van Biesbroeck, whose departure had been planned for a long time.
Much appreciated by the Anderlecht-based President Wouter Vandenhaute, Jos Donvil will be responsible for a large number of operational functions as COO (Chief Operational Officer). He will notably take care of the marketing and sales aspect, assisting CEO Karel Van Eetvelt. At Neerpede, we are assured that the latter himself asked for more support in his role as Chief Executive Officer, thus sweeping away the rumors that see him already losing part of his power.
With the Dilbeekois Jos Donvil, it is a great supporter of Standard who arrives in the shadow of Saint Guidon, even if he had in his time invested in Zulte Waregem after becoming the president of KFC Wambeek.
Long dreaming of a career in football, Jos Donvil had already flirted with Roland Duchâtelet’s Rouches, when he was still at BASE.
More recently, when François Fornieri was hired as a new shareholder of Standard at the beginning of August, Jos Donvil would also have been happy to join Sclessin. Here he is, now, on the road to Astrid Park. The news has not yet been formalized by Anderlecht, but Donvil witnessed the victory of Brussels in Beveren on Saturday, while meetings have taken place in recent days between all parties.
