MEXICO CITY, Sept 7 (Reuters) – The Mexican government’s budget plan for 2021 will prioritize health spending amid the current pandemic and projects revenues close to those set in this year’s economic package, said the Monday a key deputy.

In an interview with Reuters, the president of the Budget and Public Accounts committee in the lower house, Erasmo González, said that resources will hardly exceed the 6.1 trillion pesos budgeted for 2020, due to the effects of the coronavirus and the fall in oil prices.

The Secretary of the Treasury, Arturo Herrera, is expected to deliver the 2021 Economic Package to the Chamber of Deputies on Tuesday.
