The head of the railway company BLS announced his resignation on Friday following the publication of an audit of the Federal Audit Office.
BLS chief Bernard Guillelmon has resigned, the rail company said on Friday. He thus draws the consequences of the report of an audit of the Federal Financial Control (CDF) published on Thursday.
As part of its audit of sector accounting, the CDF discovered errors in the calculation of compensation of the order of a few million francs. The BLS needs to be more transparent, and improve its “overly complex” accounting, to avoid such errors.
For Bernard Guillelmon, the publication of this report means that the time has come to “put the implementation in new hands”. From November 2020 BLS Cargo boss Dirk Stahl will lead the company as interim CEO.
