Seville, Sep 1 (EFE) .- The former Vox candidate for the Presidency of the Junta de Andalucía, Francisco Serrano, has resigned this Tuesday his seat as a non-attached deputy in the autonomous Parliament, a decision that occurs days before he has to testify as investigated for possible grant fraud.
The judge on leave of absence has presented this morning, in the registry of the Andalusian Parliament, the waiver of all his rights as a non-attached deputy, which also includes his appointment as an autonomous representative, parliamentary sources have confirmed to Efe.
Francisco Serrano left the Vox parliamentary group after being charged in the case investigating a failed industrial project, of which he was one of the partners and which received about 2.5 million euros in public subsidies.
The former leader of Vox in Andalusia and his partner, both heads of the Bio Wood Niebla SL society, have been summoned by the judge to testify as investigated for a possible crime of subsidy fraud and fraud next Tuesday, the 8th.
