So far mainly present in Belgium in the north of the country, the Danish furniture brand Jysk is setting out to conquer Wallonia with in particular the opening of a store in Wavre last week.

Still little known in our country, Jysk has existed since 1979, and a first store opening in Aarhus, Denmark. Since then, the furniture brand, initially specializing in bedding, has become an international chain. It now has more than 2,500 points of sale around the world and offers furniture, decoration, etc. in the same spirit as the Swedish giant Ikea.

Present in Belgium since 2017, the brand is mainly established in Flanders, where it has around twenty stores. But this is set to change in the future.

100 stores in Belgium

Jysk has just opened a new point of sale in Wavre, within the Parc de l’Europe, and which adds to the handful of sites already open in Wallonia. An opening that calls for others since additional brands should soon open their doors, especially in Waremme or Malmedy.

Ultimately, Jysk intends to operate around 100 stores in our country.
