TORONTO – The Toronto Stock Exchange advanced early Friday morning, supported by gains in its financials, industrials, and materials sectors.
The S & P / TSX composite index of the Toronto public prosecutor’s office was 32.21 points to 16,481.10 points.
In New York, the Dow Jones Industrials Average gained 199.92 points to 28,492.65 points, while the broader S&P 500 Index rose 9.08 points to 3,464.14 points. The Nasdaq composite index erased 38.72 points to 11,419.38 points.
In the currency market, the Canadian dollar was trading at 76.30 cents US, up from its average rate of 76.20 cents US the previous day.
On the New York Commodity Exchange, the price of crude oil lost 40 cents US to US $ 40.97 per barrel, while gold returned US $ 8.00 to US $ 1,929.80 per ounce . The price of copper, for its part, took 5 cents US to trade just below US $ 3.03 per pound.
