The freedom of mobility of Belgians in Europe is not unlimited. The FPS Foreign Affairs regularly updates the list of destinations in the red zone, to which travel is not possible or not authorized.
Changes for Friday
Significant changes took place this Wednesday evening. They will be effective from Friday 4 p.m. Here are the changes observed and the new regions in the red zone.
Austria: the Land of Vienna.
Croatia: regions of Virovitica-Podravina and Lika-Senj.
France: departments of Aveyron, Gers, Ille-et-Vilaine, Indre-et-Loire, Isère, Loire, Maine-et-Loire, Nord, Pas-de -Calais, Puy-de-Dôme, Pyrénées-Atlantiques, Pyrénées-Orientales, Sarthe, Seine-Maritime, Tarn-et-Garonne, Vienne.
Netherlands: provinces of South Holland (where the city of Amsterdam is located) and North Holland.
Czech Republic: Central, Southwest, Northeast, Southeast Bohemian regions.
United Kingdom: North West England.
Switzerland: canton of Vaud.
Below is the full list of countries and regions in the red zone. As a reminder, non-essential trips to these zones (and for all countries outside the Schengen zone) are prohibited. Quarantine and screening are mandatory on return from these regions.
