Workers of the municipal funeral home have been summoned to a strike this Tuesday, coinciding with the plenary session of the City of Madrid, before the lack of a contingency plan facing the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic.Through a statement, the CCOO union has ensured that workers they see “probable” that the improvised morgues will be repeated again, the cremations of Madrilenians hundreds of kilometers from their city and the unacceptable delays for the removal and burial of the deceased. ”

And in view of this situation, they indicate, “the Martínez-Almeida government has not planned a contingency plan, as promised in the Villa Agreements and the workers demanded” to “avoid a new painful and chaotic panorama”.
