19 illegal immigrants who tried to go to Greece illegally and were trapped in Marmaris and Bodrum districts of Mugla, were rescued by the coast guard teams.
The first incident occurred yesterday at around 21.21, off the Bodrum district of Mugla. Coast Guard Command assault boat crews, who were patrolling off the coast of Bodrum, received the notification that illegal immigrants went ashore and moved to the scene. A total of 7 Syrian illegal immigrants, 3 of whom were women, were rescued, standing on the rocks and 3.5 meters long rubber boat pulled to the shore due to engine failure.
The second notice was made at around 00.10 by a fisherman from Marmaris district. It has been reported that there are people on the island in the Söğüt District Gedik Mevkii, 75 kilometers from Marmaris. The patrol boat of the Coast Guard Marmaris Command moved to the island. When they came to the island, 12 illegal immigrants were identified sleeping around the fire they burned. 12 Syrian men illegal immigrants were taken to the attack boat and rescued. A total of 19 illegal immigrants, who were examined by a doctor at the Bodrum and Marmaris Coast Guard Commands, were handed over to the Muğla Provincial Directorate of Migration Management.
