The cold season is approaching and you can use these tricks to prepare for it. This is how you effectively strengthen your defenses
With these simple tricks you can strengthen your defenses and go through the cold season healthily:
1. Foot baths
They make us sweat. As with fever, our body then fights the pathogens better. Start footbath at 32 degrees, run hot water every two minutes until you are at 40 degrees – then go to bed.
2. Hot drinks
Sweaty linden blossom tea, hot ginger water and hot elderberry juice have a similar effect. The latter also contains antivital agents and important vitamins for the immune system.
3. Salt water
It moisturizes and repairs the damaged mucous membranes in the nose and throat. Simply gargle with it (a teaspoon of salt on a cup of warm water) or rinse your nose.
The body now needs a lot of energy to fight viruses – take a break and try to get a lot of sleep.
