AGI – Never so many cases of Covid in 24 hours recorded in Italy since the beginning of the epidemic: today there are 7,332 new infections (yesterday they were 5,901), the record reached on 21 March is therefore largely exceeded, 6,657 cases in one day.

Deaths increased slightly, 43 today against 41 yesterday (36,289 in total). A surge in hospitalizations under the ordinary regime, 394 more (yesterday 255), for a total of 5,470, while the growth of intensive care is slowing down, today 25 more than yesterday’s +62 (now 539 in all). New tampon record: 152,196, 40,000 more than yesterday. This is what emerges from the daily bulletin of the Ministry of Health.

Lombardy is driving the boom in cases, shot up today at +1844, followed by Campania (818), Veneto (657), Tuscany (575) and Lazio (543). No region at zero, the only one with single-digit daily growth is Basilicata (+9). The total number of cases thus rises to 372,799.

The healed are also growing, 2,037 today (yesterday 1,428), for a total of 244,065. Soaring of the currently positive, 5,252 more (yesterday +4,429), and are 92,445 in all. Of these, there are 86,436 people in home isolation, 4,833 more than yesterday.
