Emmanuel Macron announced Wednesday evening an exceptional aid of 150 euros, increased by 100 euros per child, for beneficiaries of the RSA and the APL.
“The most precarious who fall into poverty, we must have an answer”. This is Emmanuel Macron’s promise as the crisis linked to the health context is pushing hundreds of thousands of additional people into poverty.
During his speech on Wednesday evening, where he notably announced the establishment of a curfew in Ile-de-France and in eight metropolises, Emmanuel Macron has announced exceptional aid of 150 euros, increased by 100 euros per child, for beneficiaries of the active solidarity income (RSA) and personalized housing assistance ( APL).

“Do not lose our fundamentals”
“For the beneficiaries of RSA and APL – which suddenly affects all young people very widely, 18-25 years – to have exceptional help, during these 6 weeks to come, of 150 euros plus 100 euros per child, the same thing as what we did, precisely, in the spring, “said the Head of State. According to Emmanuel Macron, this aid “will go between 100 and 450 euros, which is more than a revaluation”.

However, Emmanuel Macron underlined that he wanted us to “not lose our fundamentals, the fight against poverty through activity and work. And the more we unilaterally increase all our social minima, we do not never drops again, the more difficult it is to return to activity. ”
He thus justified: “I prefer this massive exceptional aid comparable to what we had done in the spring rather than a transformation of our social minima”, he underlined. In the spring, Prime Minister Edouard Philippe announced the payment of “emergency aid” of 150 euros per family benefiting from the RSA or the Specific Solidarity Allowance (ASS), to which were added 100 euros per child . The cost of this “exceptional solidarity aid” was estimated at nearly one billion euros.
