The official death toll in Argentina from covid-19 rose to 25,342 in the last 24 hours, with a total of 949,050 infections, the Ministry of Health reported on Thursday.
The latest count showed 421 new deaths and 17,096 coronavirus infections, in a nation of 44 million people.
Numerous social, administrative, gastronomic, commercial and industrial activities are reestablished in the country, except for all kinds of massive public gatherings and others that involve meetings of people in closed places.
Argentina is the fifth country in the world by number of cases and the twelfth by number of deaths, according to AFP statistics.
There is no city or town that maintains the quarantine or confinement of the first months of the pandemic, although the prohibition in all the territory to move without a mask applies.
Public transportation is limited to essential workers.
The main sources of contagion are now located in the provinces, with 65% of cases.
