An anniversary edition sold at a high price.

The system Quattro is 40 years old, and to celebrate this birthday as it should be, Audi Sport presents the TT RS 40 Years of Quattro. It will be produced in a limited edition of only 40 copies and it will only be marketed in Germany.

This series pays homage to the Audi Sport quattro S1 that Walter Röhrl drove in 1987 at Pikes Peak. Several elements have been modified or added as such, such as the aero kit which was developed in the wind tunnel to improve the performance and handling of the sports car in the bends.

The interior of the Audi TT RS 40 Years of Quattro has not been neglected. Just like the exterior, the German manufacturer has made some changes to make this TT RS very special. As an option, the customer can, for example, remove the rear seat and replace it with a carbon cross member. In addition to increasing rigidity, this element contributes to a weight reduction of 16 kg.

Under the hood, we find the 2.5-liter TFSI engine with 400 hp and 480 Nm of torque. The Audi TT RS 40 Years of Quattro is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km / h in just 3.7 seconds and spinning at a top speed of 280 km / h. It will be sold in Germany at a price of 114,040 euros. It’s expensive, yes, especially when you know that the standard Audi TT RS starts at 66,500 euros across the Rhine.
