Ballots open in four municipalities of Sicily from 7 to 22 for the administrative ballots. In addition to Agrigento, the only provincial capital, voting for the election of the mayor also takes place in Carini (Pa), Augusta (Sr) and Floridia (Sr). Tomorrow we vote from 7 to 14.
Turnout at 30.08
At 10 pm, at the end of the first day of the runoff, the turnout was 30.08%: down from the figure recorded in the same hour fifteen days ago, when 43.45% went to the polls. A reduction of 13.37%. 32.55% (-13.5%) in Agrigento, 23.07% in Carini (-11.12%), 32.10% in Augusta (-15.58%) and 33.06% in Floridia (-13.49%).
In the city of the Temples, the challenge is between the outgoing Lillo Firetto, supported by center lists, and Franco Miccichè (Vox and civic lists). Surprisingly, Miccichè in the first round had obtained the greatest consensus: 36.6%; while Firetto was voted by 27.8% of the voters.
In Carini the duel is between the outgoing Giovi Monteleone (center-left) who had 37.5% of the votes two weeks ago, and Totò Sgroi (center-right) with 33.5%.
In Augusta a ‘civic’ challenge between Pippo Gulino (31.4%) and Giuseppe Di Mare (27.1%).
In Floridia the dispute is between Marco Carianni (26.1%, civic) and Salvo Burgio (17.2%, FdI and civic list).
