BRASILIA, Oct 15 (Reuters) – Economic activity in Brazil grew by 1.06% seasonally adjusted in August, a Central Bank measure showed on Thursday, less than the 1.6% expected by economists consulted in a Reuters poll. .

The index of economic activity of the Central Bank of Brazil (IBC-Br), considered a kind of precedent of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), registered a fall of 3.92% based on 12 accumulated months, added the authority.
