Unveiled in a few days, the mysterious supercar announced by Bugatti has been surprised on the track of the Castellet circuit.
Something is brewing on the side of Molsheim, and it’s been a few days since we have the proof, while Bugatti recently unveiled a teaser suggesting that a new model is in preparation. The Alsatian firm has indeed published a mysterious image revealing only what looks like an unprecedented light signature, never seen on a model in the range. No additional information was then given, the only text being a simple ” What if ? “. Something to intrigue enthusiasts and the curious, when we already suspected that a new sportswoman was going to make its arrival in the range. But then, what form will it take this time? The mystery still remains to this day, but recent spyshots captured by our colleagues from Motor1 on the circuit Paul Ricard enlighten us somewhat, showing the car in its entirety, despite a thick camouflage still present on the entire body.
For now, neither the name nor the technical sheet of the sportswoman is yet known, and we will therefore have to settle for these images before we can know a little more. These nevertheless give us a pretty good idea of what awaits us, showing a sportswoman with always very sharp lines, seeming to draw their inspiration from the style of the concept. Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo unveiled a few years earlier, in 2015 more precisely, at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Here, everything seems to have been done to optimize performance on the tracks as much as possible, with an ultra-aerodynamic front end and an imposing rear spoiler. Suffice to say that the performance of the machine should meet customer expectations. Finally, perhaps the client, since it would in all likelihood be a unique model made to measure, although it will take a few more days to get to the bottom of it.
Which technical sheet?
For the time being, one question still remains unanswered: by which engine is this supercar powered? If we would look forward to the technical sheet of the Bugatti Chiron, with Sopn W16 8.0 liters of 1,500 horsepower and 1,600 Nm of torque, some hallway noises do not necessarily return the same echo. It could indeed be that the French sports car is powered by an electrified engine, while some of our colleagues have already announced the revelation of an electric supercar in the coming months. A very realistic possibility, while Bugatti and Rimac ultimately wish to undertake a merger, aiming to transform the Molsheim firm into a 100% electric brand. But nothing has been done yet, perhaps the car presented in this article is then just a show car showing what Bugatti can do in terms of electrification. After all, who knows?
Anyway, we will have to wait a few more days to find out a little more about this car, which should be widely talked about when it is finally made official. It should not be long now …
