The “civic hacking” platform Covid19alessandria.help, born on the initiative of voluntary activists, to aggregate verified news, collect requests for help and solidarity initiatives against Covid. Then «Sustanza», a social enterprise of Acireale and its pizzeria «Cantine di Loreto» which in the lockdown found the formula not to stop, but rather, to strengthen the bond with its reference community. And, again, the association “La Casa di Asterione” of Ascoli Piceno, which makes inclusion through the theater, and which during the pandemic did not interrupt, but rather broadened its range of intervention. These are the winners of the Corriere Buone Notizie award «The economies of trust», which was presented on Tuesday, in Milan, on the occasion of the Civil Week Lab event.

The awards were assigned, on behalf of the scientific committee of Corriere Buone Notizie, by Stefano Granata, president of Federsolidarity. Resilience and the ability to look beyond. These are the awarded qualities. «The scientific committee has tried to evaluate the resilience – explained Granata – That is the effort who in the difficult phase did not escape but gave himself to the community. And then those who have also tried to look beyond and think about the future. Needs are increasing, it is understood that there is a need for new recipes and new ideas ». The award included three categories: networks, social enterprises and solidarity. For «Reti» the award went to Covid19alessandria. “A bottom-up network experience that can represent a prototype of a digital common good – reads the motivation – And that has the necessary flexibility to adapt to renewed contexts and territorial needs, promoting shared governance between the local authority and the third sector” . “We wanted to allow citizens access to verified information,” recalled Giorgio Baracco, designer of the platform.

The recognition for social enterprises was instead assigned to «Sustanza», a company from Catania which uses “food as a vehicle to restore dignity and perspectives to fragile people – states the motivation – and does not simply seek to provide services but intends to work, together with the institutions and other realities present, in the territory and for the territory , having as its objective the well-being, present and future, of individuals and of the community “. «On January 3 – says Fabrizio Sigona, manager of Sustanza – we started the pizzeria business with a lot of enthusiasm. In the lockdown we found two solutions: home delivery and then we did a catering service for third parties, this allowed us to keep the employment levels unchanged. Now the pizzeria is doing quite well and we are also trying to enhance local products ».

Finally, the prize for volunteering went to “La Casa di Asterione” in Ascoli Piceno, because – writes the scientific committee in the motivation – «This project shows how important and decisive is the support of volunteers and volunteers. During the months of lockdown, thanks to the free help of one’s own network, contact with the people followed was not lost and an online news program was added to one’s activities ». “Through artistic mediation – said Roberto Paoletti, president of the La Casa di Asterione association – we try to recover positive energies from areas normally labeled as marginalization and poverty. We believe that these energies can emerge instead, because we start from the assumption that we are all the same thing ».
