In a press release, the Vaud cantonal police ask sailors from Lake Geneva to be vigilant. Because a large number of floating objects (tree trunks and various packaging) are found throughout the body of water.

Considering their unpredictable drifts due to currents and variable winds, it is recommended to be very careful.

All boats or craft which navigate on Lake Geneva must navigate day and night by sight, at a reduced and adapted speed. This recommendation is valid for an indefinite period from this day.
