The increase in coronavirus cases in Catalonia will lead the Generalitat to take new measures to reduce mobility and social interactions next week. One of them will be to ask companies to telecommute “as much as possible” whenever their type of activity allows it, as well as to urge universities to suspend face-to-face classes and hold them online for 15 days.
This has been advanced in statements to Rac-1 by the Secretary of Public Health of the Government, Josep Maria Argioón, who has also pointed – without specifying them – to other measures that will be mandatory to reduce social interaction and that will be dictated at the end next week when they finish studying.
“Today we are not bad but the virus is going very fast. If we do nothing we will reach the levels of Madrid in two weeks ”, has warned Argimon, who has indicated that the Generalitat will take“ all measures ”so that Catalonia does not repeat the advance of the virus in the capital of Spain.
Regarding social interaction, Argimon has called on the population to minimize their contacts and limit them to the family environment. “The virus understands little about the picaresque of bringing together eight people at two tables of four,” Argimon has censored. “We must limit interactions to the usual bubbles and we can only do this ourselves,” he added.
