Clayton Kershaw was discarded from the opening assigned by Los angeles dodgers in the second game of the National League Championship Series before the Atlanta Braves due to back spasms.

The Dodgers announced the discharge of their veteran ace a few hours before the first pitch in Arlington, Texas.

The right Tony Gonsolin will open instead of Kershaw in the second game, Los Dodgers are down 1-0 in the series against the Atlanta Braves. Gonsolin, 26, will make his debut in a postseason.
