The new infections by coronavirus continue to increase throughout Spain, without the new confinements having effect, such as the one decreed in the city of Salamanca, or other restrictions, such as those of the Basque Country to limit the capacity in hotels, and cultural and religious events to 50%.

The virus continues to spread throughout Spain, making a dent in regions such as Castile and Leon, which has scored another record figure this Saturday, with 1,406 positives confirmed by molecular or antigen tests, after adding 1,038 the day before, although deaths from Covid-19 in public hospitals they have dropped to ten, half that of Friday.

The amount doubles the maximum peak during the first wave of the pandemic in this region, which was 644 cases on March 26.

This situation has led, for example, to the 144,000 inhabitants of Salamanca have started this Saturday on perimeter confinement of the city which has been in force since last morning and will last until October 30 to try to stop the coronavirus curve, with more than 500 cases per 100,000.

Next to the Salamanca capital, León and Palencia are also confined, in addition to Miranda de Ebro, in Burgos, San Andrés de Rabanedo, in the heart of the Leonese capital, and San Pedro Latarce, a small town in Valladolid with less than five hundred neighbors.

The numbers they also continue to rise in Catalonia, which adds 2,846 new infections, nine more deaths and has exceeded the barrier of 200 people admitted to ICUs, 204 in total.

In Cantabria, the Ministry of Health has recommended to neighbors to self-confine and limit social activity and mobility, after registering 213 new positives and adding 241 deaths since the start of the pandemic.

Galicia it is already above 350 infections a day -355 in the last 24 hours-, nine more than on Friday, which brings the number of cases to 4,745.

The latest data from the Xunta only show a decrease in the Lugo health area, with 50 fewer cases in the last 24 hours, to 425, while in the rest of the areas, follow the ascent: A Coruña (807), Ferrol (169), Pontevedra (416), Vigo (632), Santiago (686) and Ourense (1,610).

This Saturday has been reported in addition to the death of three other people, with which there are 818 fatalities who contracted Covid-19 since the beginning of the pandemic in Galicia.

Navarra registered five deaths this Friday, bringing the total number of deaths from the pandemic to 643, and 547 new positive cases. 256 people are admitted to the hospital network of the Foral community, 35 of whom are in ICU positions and another 41 are in home hospitalization. The rest, 180 patients, are on the floor.

Asturias This Friday added 207 positive cases during a day in which the death of three women was registered, with which there are already 374 deaths since the start of the pandemic.

Therefore, for the next fifteen days it is recommended to restrict social life and mobility in the face of the great transmission of the virus.

The Rioja adds 1,203 active cases, 173 more than this Friday, and more than 10,000 people in quarantine.

AndalusiaFor its part, it has recorded 2,725 new cases in the last 24 hours, which is 203 less than this Friday, and 25 deaths, four less than this Friday.

In addition, the 530,000 people in Granada capital and metropolitan area 14 days of restrictions have begun this Saturday that include the closing of bars at 10 pm and a maximum of 6 people per table, but that do not restrict mobility.

In Estremadura, as of this Sunday, the number of people who can participate in social gatherings, both in the public and private spheres, will be limited to six, a measure that will be in force for an initial period of 14 days, after registering in the last 24 hours four deaths, 284 positive and three new outbreaks.

In Castilla la Mancha, the Ministry of Health has decreed special measures of level 3 in the cities of Almadén and Chillón, since in both municipalities there may be community transmission as there is a high number of cases.

The Valencian Community It has reported 838 infections and 20 new outbreaks, the largest of them in Fuenterrobles (Valencia), with eight cases of social origin.

Aragon has reported that coronavirus cases have increased in the community to 681 this Friday, 28 more than the previous day, although the positivity rate has dropped to 16.95% compared to 20.09 the previous day, data that they correspond to the result of 3,428 PCR.

In the last 24 hours they have registered in Aragon eight new deaths by Covid-19, which brings to 1,536 the number of deaths since the start of the pandemic.

In Canary Islands, six people have died in the last 24 hours, on a day in which there have been 132 new infections and in which active cases have also rebounded in 113, to 6,625.

In hospitals they continue to be admitted 51 people in intensive care, one less than on Friday, and 219 on the floor twelve less.

In the other archipelago, that of Baleares, 144 new cases have been counted, but no deaths were registered in hospitals or residences compared to this Friday. 141 people are admitted, seven less than this Friday, 39 of them in ICU.

In Murcia 511 new infections were detected after 4,015 tests carried out, bringing the total number of patients to 9,114.

Finally, Ceuta has registered a record of cases this Saturday, with 52 new positives that have forced more than a thousand people to confine themselves; Y Melilla has reported a new deceased and 50 new infections.
