The meeting between the government and local authorities is underway in the green room of Palazzo Chigi in view of the adoption of the new anti-contagion measures. Ministers Francesco Boccia and Roberto Speranza are present at the meeting with Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte and are connected by videoconference, representatives of Regions, Municipalities and Provinces.
“We will try to dismiss the Dpcm already tonight,” said the Prime Minister this morning, anticipating his intention to tighten on time. “With the latest circular from the Ministry of Health we will also be able to reduce the quarantine from the initial 14 days”. The first indications have arrived from the Scientific Technical Committee on the rules identified to prevent an uncontrolled surge in cases, a package that the government will share primarily with the Regions. The goal is to avoid a lockdown or actions that cause excessive economic damage while protecting public health.
