Navarra has reported 411 new positive cases of COVID-19 infection this Sunday, which represents a drop from the 500 barrier that had been exceeded in recent days. If we take into account that 3,336 PCR tests and antigen tests were carried out this Saturday, the positivity remains at 12.3%, well above the 5% barrier recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO ). There were also three more deaths, all men, one aged 74 and two aged 86. To them are added three more deaths corresponding to the previous day: a 92-year-old woman and two 79 and 85-year-old men. Thus, the total number of deaths from this cause stands at 649 out of 24,937 infected people.
By zones, in Pamplona and Comarca 53% of the new positives are registered, the Tudela area has 25%, and 4% of the cases belong to Estella. The rest of the positives (18%) are spread over other areas of Navarra. Regarding the distribution of the cases registered by age group, the majority groups are those between 45 and 59 years old, with 25%, and those between 15 and 29 years old, with 23% of the total. Next, there is the group of 30 to 44 years old, with 19%; then, from 60 to 75, with 14%; the group of children under 15 years old follows, with 12%; and, finally, those over 75 years of age, with 7%. The average age of the new cases is 40.7 years. Regarding gender, 52% are women and 48% are men.
Yesterday, in Navarre hospitals there were 18 new admissions related to this disease, three of them in the ICU. In the network, there are 282 people admitted with COVID-19 (26 more than yesterday), 37 of which are in ICU positions (two more than yesterday) and another 43 in home hospitalization. The rest, 202 patients, are on the floor.
