Family, friends and neighbors marched this Friday in the capital of Jujuy to demand justice for a woman who died due to coronavirus and, according to his relatives, he contracted the disease having been “forced to work despite being a risk patient “.

People who focused on the Belgrano Square of the provincial capital, in front of the Government, they denounced that the young woman was “Diabetes with overweight and hypertension” for which they targeted the Canal 2 Jujuy Group, where he served as a telephone operator.

“She asked her boss to work from home since she worked in the call center area and could answer the phone. Permits were granted only for a few days, but then colleagues got infected and they called her again, ”the protesters reported. “They took her out of her house to go back to work,” the relatives reported.

Last Wednesday, Elizabeth del Valle Pérez died after being hospitalized in critical condition for five days, after being diagnosed with Covid-19, which caused a bilateral pneumonia, while complicating his medical picture due to kidney problems.

Family members also denounced that the social work they had “completely ignored”, detailing that “the medication she had was for a week only with paracetamol and only on Saturday they actually medicated her.”

They recalled that the woman went to the field hospital located in the Alto Padilla neighborhood “by her own means” and a day later “she was transferred to intensive care in a” serious condition. ”

For its part, the company indicated in a statement that since the beginning of the pandemic it has prepared “conscientiously, complying with all the health and security measures established, both by the provincial COE and by municipal agencies.”

Regarding the complaints, they indicated that “unscrupulous people make use of pain and despair to attack us senselessly.”
