DEDICATE Tampico, Diana Leticia Salazar to learn more about the treatment and improvement of women going through this battle.
She comes from a family of renowned musicians in this region, her parents, Martha Peña and Arturo Salazar they were the ones who made the melody known The Navigator of Tampico, a song that is like a hymn to this beautiful port.
He studied the wagon of Medicine at the University of the Northeast and has a master’s degree in Public health. One of the qualities that distinguishes it is commitment, service and attitude.
Her passion for medicine was born since she was a child, as she confesses that she loved playing the doctor with her sister, who was her patient.
“What I like most about Medicine is being able to serve and help patients, medicine for me is a day-to-day learning, since we never stop updating ourselves, an example of this is pandemic that unfortunately we are living, but we have to continue putting our effort and dedication both in the medical area and in society. “

Provides specialized breast pathology consultation whose objective is to establish or exclude in a timely and reliable manner, the presence of breast cancer, they have the emotional support service in which trained psychologists provide support to women with clinical symptoms.
“Breast cancer is a constant fight, it is important to mention the emotional Pisco area that women go through in this process, in which the whole family is involved and in the clinic we have the support of emotional accompaniment which is in charge from the psychologist Beatríz Flores, specialized and certified at the national level. “
She commented that self-examination and examination are the most appropriate measures to prevent breast cancer.

He recommended that from 40 years of age it should be performed every 2 years from 40 to 49 and from 50 to 69 years 1 time a year, since the older the age, the greater the risk, although he stressed that unfortunately nowadays they have been found women under 40 years with breast cancer due to the lifestyles mentioned above.
“It is important to raise awareness among all women with the campaigns that are carried out worldwide for detection, not only in this pink month of October but all year round and to have the culture of breast self-examination in the younger population.”
Diana mentioned that the latest advances in the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer are the mastography, tomosynthesis, mastography contrasted until magnetic resonance imaging and radiotherapy.
Finally, he provided a message for all the people who are in the fight against this disease. “We have to continue fighting, that the battle is won as a team but above all with the hand of God and with great faith,” he concluded.
