Unveiled for the first time at the Fendi Fall / Winter 2020-2021 show, the accessories from the collaboration with London label CHAOS are finally available.
Last February, Milan Fashion Week took place in a disturbing atmosphere. The Covid-19 was causing its first damage in Europe, in particular in the region of Lombardy. By presenting the first pieces of its collaboration with London-based accessories brand CHAOS on the catwalk of its Fall / Winter 2021 show, Fendi surely did not expect this project to take on so much meaning in the months to come. Because a few days after the event, Italy, like the majority of its European neighbors, closed its borders and confined its inhabitants. Technology then became the only way to communicate with loved ones.
After deconfinement and a more or less carefree summer, the rules have been tightened in several European countries, plunging them again into a daily life disturbed by the crisis. It is in this context that Fendi and CHAOS are launching their capsule collection, inspired by the iconic accessories of Hollywood glamor of old times. Born from a mutual love for vintage cases and evening pouches, the models imagined by the two brands merge perforated and engraved metal shapes with the know-how of the Italian house in leather, touches of satin and iconic logos, transforming a smartphone, a connected watch or even wireless headphones into real jewels. Each of the bespoke cases is designed as an interconnected system to hang on your belt, purse or wear around your neck.
Other fancy objects underline this first collaboration with an offbeat side, such as this multifunctional gold metal pen that works as well on paper as on tablet and that can be worn as an earring, as a view of the catwalk. A long evening bag is made of chainmail and a leather and satin minaudière case has a golden chain handle to combine practicality and style. We expected no less from this iconic house.
