Galeria-Karstadt-Kaufhof: Employees mourn in front of branches

Hundreds of employees of the department store chain Galeria Karstadt Kaufhof drew attention to the closure of their branches on Saturday. Actions were planned in front of the department stores throughout North Rhine-Westphalia. In Düsseldorf, the employees gave vent to their displeasure with a sculpture by the artist Jacques Tilly. Parts of the workforce wore black T-shirts or mourning stickers. In Essen, a funeral campaign with wreath-laying in front of the branch was planned.
