Health registers 13,318 new coronavirus infections and 140 deaths

He Ministry of Health has counted this Thursday up to 6,603 new positives in 24 hours, after notifying 5,104 this Wednesday. In addition, 13,318 infected people are added to the total, so the number of people affected amounts to 921,374 since the beginning of the pandemic.The department that directs Salvador Illa has also reported 140 more deaths from covid-19, 494 in the last week. Thus, the global death toll in Spain stands at 33,553 people.

There are currently 11,692 patients admitted for covid-19 throughout Spain and 1,702 in an ICU, although in the last 24 hours there have been 1,473 admissions and 1,329 discharges. The occupancy rate of beds occupied by coronavirus is already at the 9.79% and 19.23% in ICUs.

The areas affected by the coronavirus that today add up the most positive are the Madrid’s community with 2,292 confirmed cases in the last 24 hours, the Basque Country with 644 and Aragon with 575.

In addition, of the 6,603 new cases, 433 have been located in Andalusia; 188 in Asturias, 60 in the Balearic Islands, 107 in the Canary Islands, 58 in Cantabria, 106 in Castilla-La Mancha, 349 in Castilla y León, 313 in Catalonia, 12 in Ceuta, 150 in the Valencian Community, 302 in Extremadura, 246 in Galicia , 26 in Melilla, 155 in Murcia, 454 in Navarra and 133 in La Rioja.
