From the Industrial Union of Córdoba, concern was reported about the bill that suspends preventive tenders and bankruptcies of companies economically impacted within the framework of the quarantine promoted by the national government, leaving those who initiated said process previously unrelated. “The original idea of this measure is to rescue those companies whose situation is limited, knowing that those that started the tender process before March 20 are not in better conditions. We know the situation of the productive sector, analyzed not only by the effects of the pandemic, but also immersed in a country that has not grown for nine years and has been in deep recession for more than two and a half years, added to the fall in industrial activity and without access to financing, that this quarantine aggravated the state of abyss. For all this, the Industrial Union of Córdoba asks the National Congress to review the bill, taking as a premise the protection and inclusion of all companies in a critical situation, beyond the impact of the pandemic ”, said the entity Cordoba.
How much, specifically, could the arc be extended to consider firms in crisis before the pandemic? For Marcelo Uribarren, a possible cut would be to take the companies bankrupt since the beginning of the recession of the Mauricio Macri government, in April 2018. “Bankruptcies and bankruptcies became massive since 2018 and 2019. I would say that there are more bankruptcies in the pre-pandemic than now, because now many survive due to moratoriums and ATPs. The contests are going to be presented when there is a disconnect between these benefits and the real income of the companies, ”he said.
