Johnny Hallyday's new single released three years after his death

“Two kinds of men”, an unpublished title by Johnny Hallyday, was unveiled this Friday, nearly three years after the death of Taulier.

On December 5, 2017, Johnny Hallyday passed away from lung cancer, leaving thousands of heartbroken fans. But it is to their greatest happiness that they were able to discover a completely new title of Taulier, almost three years after his death.

Entitled “Two Kinds of Men”, the song was broadcast on Youtube overnight from Thursday to Friday. In just a few hours, it exceeded 30,000 views.

A “forgotten” piece

This blues-rock song was recorded in 2014 for the album “Stay alive”. But shortly before this one was released, the song had been shelved. “When we chose the tracks that were going to appear on the album, we ended up with two blues, including ‘Deux kinds hommes'”, explains its artistic director, Bertrand Lamblot. “But we preferred ‘I didn’t even say thank you’, written by Miossec, for emotional reasons. ”

Since ? His existence was completely forgotten, tells Bertrand Lamblot to BFMTV. Until the manager of the music composer, Daran, remembered this new track, “Two kinds of men”. “What we deliver to the public today is something that has not been retouched”, assures the artistic director.

A bigger project

This title is like an appetizer of a much larger project. Indeed, it will be present on a new box set, “His American Dream”, the release of which is announced on October 23. The box set will contain CDs and DVDs, with two documentaries as well as an unreleased live double album, recorded in New York in 2014.
