Speaking during a military parade, Kim stressed that he was grateful that “not a single person” in North Korea has contracted the coronavirus that has affected the world since it developed in neighboring China.

Pyongyang closed its borders in January to prevent the spread of the virus and has regularly stated that it has no sick, but in recent months the state media have avoided explicit statements on the matter and instead emphasized the importance of prevention efforts. (HANDLE).
