The Canadian Lance Stroll, ill, will not be able to compete in the Eifel Grand Prix on the Nürburgring circuit on Sunday. German Nico Hulkenberg will replace him at Racing Point in qualifying on Saturday afternoon.
Stroll had withdrawn from free practice on Saturday morning because “he was not feeling 100 percent,” according to his team. Hulkenberg was called in to take his place. This will be Hulkenberg’s third race for Racing Point. The German driver replaced Sergio Perez, who was positive for Covid-19, during the two Grands Prix at Silverstone in August.
