In total, UPC Switzerland has acquired more than 37.1 million Sunrise shares corresponding to 81.98% of the voting rights and share capital of the operator, the two companies announced on Friday in a provisional interim result announcement. .
The final announcement of the interim result must be published on October 14. The additional ten day acceptance period will begin the next day.
The British group, through its subsidiary UPC Switzerland, offers 110 francs per Sunrise share. The price offered by Liberty Global implies a premium of 32% over the weighted average price of the last 60 trading days preceding the announcement of redemption, ie 83.17 francs.
Liberty Global had announced its intention to seize Sunrise on August 12, with an offer valuing Switzerland’s second-largest operator at 6.8 billion francs.
