LONDON, Oct 29 (Reuters) – Libyan oil production currently stands at 680,000 barrels a day, a source in the country’s oil sector told Reuters on condition of anonymity.
The Libyan National Petroleum Corporation (NOC) on Monday ended the “force majeure” at the latest facilities closed due to an eight-month blockade of oil exports by eastern forces.
The current production level marks a big jump from around 500,000 bpd recorded earlier this month.
The NOC said last week that it expected oil production to rise to 1 million bpd in a few weeks as the OPEC member country revives its oil industry.
