The little English sportswoman becomes even more radical thanks to the German trainer.

Worthy heir to a line that is beginning to make a name for itself, the Mini John Cooper Works GP is the most powerful approved model offered by the British firm. This little ball of nerves, made above all for the track in view of its inclinations, carries the 2.0-liter four-cylinder of the BMW M135i and develop 306 horses and 450 Nm de couple. That’s 75 horsepower more than a classic Mini JCW.

With a 0 to 100 km / h shot in 5.2 seconds, a maximum speed of 265 km / h, the possibility of having optional semi-slick tires and the absence of a rear bench to reduce its weight, the Mini JCW GP is an almost uncompromising sports car, except that we would have preferred to have a manual gearbox instead of the eight-speed automatic.

For those who find the 306 horses a fair bit, the German trainer Manhart has just unveiled another preparation around this new Mini JCW GP. Engineers revised the engine mapping and the engine is now 350 horsepower and 530 Nm de couple. They also added a new “Remus” exhaust line. Manhart does not specify performance after reprogramming.

In addition to the work done around the engine, Manhart installed a GP3 F350 body kit he dressed in a “British Racing Green” livery with touches of red. The preparer also made some adjustments to the chassis since the front has been lowered by 20 millimeters and the rear by 15 millimeters. The car sits on 19 inch rims.

Produced at only 3000 copies, all the Mini JCW GP have been sold. In France, the car was offered, as a base, from 44’900 euros. It will obviously take a little more for a copy prepared by Manhart. The latter does not specify the price for this upgrade of an already rather extreme model.
