In view of the worrying development of positive cases and hospitalizations due to the coronavirus in Geneva, the Council of State announced, on Wednesday at a press conference, new health measures. In particular, it decided to ban gatherings of more than fifteen people in public spaces, especially in squares, walks and parks. Private events which bring together more than one hundred people are prohibited. For those of more than fifteen people, the organizer must guarantee the wearing of the mask for the duration of the event and prohibit all consumption, except non-interchangeable seats. He must also collect the identity and a reliable means of contact of each person present and keep the list of participants at the disposal of the health authorities for fourteen days in case they so request.

School camps and study trips in the orientation cycle and in secondary II are canceled. The wearing of masks is extended to all establishments and facilities accessible to the public.
